I said some true things on camera
A few months ago I was filmed as part of a documentary panel called The Big Connect, produced by Vanguard Culture and filmed at their MASHUP 2025 Creative Industry Symposium. I joined Cat Chiu Phillips and Ana Maria Herrera for an Art Shop Talk about creative identity, collaboration, and what it actually takes to sustain this kind of work. The whole conversation felt honest in the way that conversations rarely do when a camera is present.
The film was beautifully captured by filmmaker Anna Guillotte. She has a way of making people look like themselves, which is not a small thing. And a real thank you to Susanna and Mahnoosh at Vanguard Culture for creating the kind of space where that conversation could happen. They champion San Diego's creative community with more consistency and care than most.
